When the leaves started to change this fall they contacted me about a session. This was their first fall in MN and wanted photography of their family to remember the scenery.
Right away I knew we had to find a time quickly. Being a Burnsville family photographer I know how it can be golden and red one day and brown the next. I had an opening that worked for them and we quickly got it scheduled.
The day of the session I was a little disappointed because it was a bit gloomy. Being a bit cast over is actually quite beneficial as a Burnsville family photographer because you can shoot anywhere without having the suns harsh glare. The downfall is that you don't get the rich warmth of the sun when it starts to set.

While I was preparing for their session the sun came out and I knew exactly what I would do if the sun decided to peek out during their session. I warned them while we were shooting that if the sun came out I might freak out and yell for them to run. Sure enough when the sun came out we all went running, it was a bit goofy for a minute, but 100% worth it to capture this sun drenched warmth.
I started scoping out areas that had rich colors and beautiful scenery and found one that I was so excited about. It was near Interstate 35 so it was easy to access and had so many spots that would work perfect for their session.
